We are using white stork pellets to quantify dispersal of seeds in Andalusia in our #Waterzoo project, as well as biovectoring of plastics #GuanoPlastic. PhD work for @juliancap.bsky.social @iciarjimenez.bsky.social and also Manu

Finally published!! Our new paper titled: Spatiotemporal differences in plastic biovectoring among three sympatric waterbirds doi.org/10.1016/j.en...

We quantified stork transport of plastics inside their pellets in our #GuanoPlastic project (see link), now Marta et al. are quantifying transport to their nests doi.org/10.1016/j.ma...

Microplastic abundance in aquatic insects increases closer to landfills and to roosts or colonies of gulls or storks that feed there #plasticpollution #guanoplastic #Doñana @ebdonana @ajgreen_lab @AIL_limnologia @freshwaterblog @AFL_org @STOTEN_journal

We knew #PlasticPollution impacts birds. Our new study quantifies transport by storks of #plastics from #landfills into #Mediterranean #wetlands in #Andalucia #GuanoPlastic @ebdonana @MedWetOrg @ajgreen_lab @Sterna9965 @WetlandsInt @TourduValat @CSIC

Recently we submitted a paper about what Danish greylags get up to in Doñana. Now a black-headed gull we #GPS tagged for #Pairwise and #GuanoPlastic shows another connection between SW Spain and Denmark @JNavarroBernabe @KaneBrides @DONANA_SEO @ebdonana @Birdpath_IREC @_BTO

Great initiative highlighting #plasticpollution and its impacts, and related to our #GuanoPlastic project in which we study plastics in diets and nests of waterbirds in #Andalucia @TheLabAndField @fotoconciencia @ebdonana @SanchezMarta_I @PacoHortas
