Over 20 years ago, when I first learned about Beast Wars Neo figures like Guiledart, they seemed exotic and rare. These days, I have to check and see if I've missed one of the many, many repaints or remoulds that have come out since.

#botaday I've drawn this design several times: Guiledart, Triceradon (Beast Machines), Killer Punch, and Triceradon (Universe) just earlier this year. It's a favorite of mine, what with the triceratops head for an arm. This Triceradon, from the Dinobots Walmart line, was packed with Slapper in 2003.

Kettō Beast Wars includes eight standard fighters and two unlockables, all hailing from Beast Wars and its Japan-only spinoffs, Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo. The plot involves everyone being pulled through time and space into another dimension to battle for the wish-granting Energon Quartz.

Another Beast Wars Neo character can be crossed off my list as I finally have Guiledart. Some Predacons (Destrons) from the line have optional modes. Most of them I don't really bother doing. Though in this case, I just had to do it because it's a dead dino.

Finally managed to get a BWN Guiledart for a good price. Usually I see them on ebay for $100+. I got this for $65 after negotiating with the seller who originally wanted $75 for it.

I have 1 figure that was designed during that era of beast wars, Beast Machines Triceradon, repainted from Guiledart. And yeah, that era of Japanese transformers was VERY panel and tab heavy, and kibble cluttered.

What amazes me is that around 2014 the figure had a new repaint. I ended up using it as a substitute for Killer Punch. That was my first experience with the figure.
Later on I ended up adding Guiledart to the collection.

Adore this design. I think I had this one & definitely had one in purple released to tie-in with Age of Extinction (all the *toys* of movie Slug were purple even though the movie Dinobots were all dull metallic colors) -- but I think the only one I've got left is Guiledart, the original from '99.
