Gypsum council to ask voters in November whether to replace county lodging tax with 4% municipal lodging tax
Council approved a resolution to place a municipal 4% lodging-tax question on the Nov. 3, 2026 ballot that would replace the county-collected lodging tax currently assessed in town; staff said the tax would apply to overnight accommodations under 29 days and—if approved—would not take effect until Jan. 1, 2027.
