MO HB 2526 defines "sex" by "what, but for a congenital anomaly or intentional or unintentional disruption, the reproductive system that at some point produces, transports, and utilizes eggs or sperm for fertilization".

Vote NO on SB1868/HB2526
I am writing to respectfully urge you to vote NO on HB2526/SB1868, the legislation being considered that would allow foster children who have committed no crime to be classified as “in need of heightened supervision” and placed in juvenile detention facilities. Children in foster care are already among the most vulnerable in our state systems. Many have experienced trauma, family separation, and instability. Placing these children in correctional environments designed for youth who have committed criminal offenses exposes them to additional risk and harm rather than providing the protection and care they need. Other states have learned painful lessons after implementing similar policies. In New Hampshire, foster youth were placed in the Youth Development Center, where widespread abuse later came to light. More than 2,000 victims have since come forward with credible allegations of severe physical and sexual abuse while in state custody. One survivor, David Meehan, was awarded $38 million after describing years of abuse while confined there as a child. Policies that blur the line between child welfare and juvenile justice can carry devastating consequences for children and create significant legal and financial liability for the state. Tennessee has the opportunity to learn from these failures rather than repeat them. I urge you to stand for the safety and dignity of foster children by voting NO on this legislation. Thank you for your time and for your service to the people of Tennessee.

White men cannot be trusted to make decisions for kids. They don't want them, they don't participate in their growth, and when given control, they make cash deals for these children's freedoms. Its time to take white men out of the system all together.
Tennessee is considering a bill (SB1868/HB2526) that would lock up foster kids indefinitely, even if they haven't been charged with a crime. You can help kill this bill today. Here's what happens when kids are locked up without a crime: Hillary Transue was a teen in Pennsylvania. She made a MySpace page mocking her high school's strict vice principal. At the end she wrote, "When you find this I hope you have a sense of humor." He didn't. Instead of detention or a meeting with parents, Hillary was taken to juvenile court before Judge Mark Ciavarella. Her hearing lasted about 60 seconds. She was handcuffed right there and locked up. Her mother was horrified as Hillary who had never been in serious trouble, was treated like a dangerous criminal. Years later it was revealed Ciavarella was taking millions in kickbacks from private detention centers to lock up thousands of kids in the now-infamous Kids for Cash scandal. Fortunately for Hillary, she had a loving family and "only" spent about a month locked up. SB1868/HB2526 would allow Tennessee to detain foster kids, potentially until they are adults, without a charge even being filed, based on predictions about charge even their behavior. We're going to protect these kids from ever being put through that. I'll explain how you can help in the comments.
