I went into the garage to search for one and was attacked by moths

Windows 1.0 running on an Amiga 4000 via a PC XT bridge board with an 8088 CPU. Windows is installed on a 32MB virtual hard drive image on the Amiga HDD. So much fun! #amiga #amiga4000 #commodore #windows #microsoft #retrocomputing

Computer ctorage is hella expensive at the moment. I bought an HDD in 2021 for £100. Same HDD is now £140. Moore's Law got squished by AI slop and Trump chaos.

thought about running it off of SD card, but that's still about 9-12x slower than the internal SSD (tho 400~500mbps compared to usb 2's 200~300mbps)
i think instead i will just keep the mod files on the hdd, with a script to move it from 'deep' HDD storage to the SSD as-needed
