#HOBs
As an aspiring political scientist I define Reform’s core demographic as “HOBs” (Horrible Old Bastards). Data available on request
This is probably the most straightforwardly egregious example in the article. This woman is voting Reform in order to strip her disabled stepson of his benefits. You couldn't make it up.

The Hobs are mad. #Dreamling #TheSandman

I don't know why this is so hard for some people to grasp. If we extend our use of fossil gas, rather than going all-out for grid batteries, heat pumps and induction hobs, we extend our dependence on *foreign* sources of gas, regardless of whether we also use the UK's last remaining reserves. 🧵

How many more times can I look at the hobs to make sure I’ve turned them off. Well let’s see shall we.

The bricklayers, with their hobs and ploughman's lunches. So hot right now.

It's hotter than the hobs of hell in Nova Scotia today🥵

The whole of England belongs to ghosts, Harrowhounds, a thousand folkloric creatures that scurry and floats its fields. Horned hobs and hoofed impossibilities make nests in our churches, bleed from our dreams into stone manifestation. We live in a monstrous kingdom. – #CLNolan

Massive career highlight just arrived in the post from @lostincult.co.uk 🥹😭♥️

Loved working with @schillingc.bsky.social and @shaunaitcheson.bsky.social and getting to write about this masterpiece of a game 😭

Disrobed hawthorn scratches the sky. Ploughed fields shiver. Farm Hobs walk the boundaries. Clouds offer omens of waking. The witch walks and feels the turn of the year. – #EmilyCBanting, 1982 #WitchSky

Typical man from 1960; doesn't recognise that the oven hobs are already turned off.

After playing @cloakanddaggerg.bsky.social ‘s The Excavation of Hobs Barrow I found myself in the UK for a wedding so we had to check out the local barrow. I can confirm there were no hobs spotted.

Fascinated by the market research that tells manufacturers of induction hobs that what people desperately want is more touchscreens and fewer knobs, when I feel like the number one anti-induction opinion on social media is “I don’t want to have a touch hob”.

All sorts of weird folklore gets rolled out on Christmas Eve. Animals speak, house hobs demand apple brandy. It's the one night when the winged dogs that climb and perch in churches can change positions. Magics and strangeness always seems thick today. – Nancy Appleyard #VOH

Just a reminder for anyone remodelling their kitchen that induction hobs come in this form and how awesome would a countertop with a space for them that can also be used as a countertop be?

I'm so used to inductive cooktops and I'm in an apartment with resistive hobs and it is absolutely Taking The Piss

Waiting for the Out is both an incredible BBC drama mini-series, and also the longest ever advert for induction hobs

Hi bluesky say hi to my cat hobs

Are we *sure* that “induction hobs are safer” isn’t a consequence of “those of us who grow used to cooking with induction become reckless cooking with everything else?”

The excavation of hobs Barrow is a masterpiece imo!
I think adventure games are better now than they were in their “golden age” and I’m a huge fan of those games. Check out this thread of recommendations. I would also add Phoenix Springs and the upcoming games Old Skies, Dreamsettler, Heir of the Dog, and Perfect Tides sequel. There’s so many games!
I see people saying this sort of thing often, and quite frankly it makes me sad. The truth is, more people are making good adventure games now than were ever made during the “golden age” of the 90s. For example: 🧵
