Believe me, nobody enjoys a long, luxurious sniff of the "abolishing the triple lock is at net +40 approval with the public" hopium more than I do.
But it's hopium - when/if it's happening, it's going to be massively unpopular. Triple lock reform is worth 15bn, 10 times the WFA cuts.

I know I’m on the hopium but it’s nice to have a PM who has a vision for Britain rather than an entitled posh fool or a social media addled culture warrior. Who knew that policies that improved people’s lives might be popular rather than banging on about who uses which bogs incessantly.

If I'm going full hopium, it's a midterm where turnout differential is a much bigger factor, and pollsters have been so burned on D oversampling that they're cranking a ton of stuff to favor Rs and... maybe too much?
