Shimla News: हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार ने राज्य विद्युत बोर्ड में 1602 बिजली उपभोक्ता मित्र और 1000 टी-मेट पदों पर भर्ती को मंजूरी दी है। मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू के नेतृत्व में हुई इस बड़ी नियुक्ति का लक्ष्य बिजली सेवाओं को मजबूत करना और युवाओं को रोजगार देना है। इससे उपभोक्ताओं को बेहतर बिजली आपूर्ति मिलेगी। यह निर्णय फील्ड स्टाफ की गंभीर कमी को दूर करने के लिए लिया गया है। वर्तमान में टी-मेट के 4009 पद स्वीकृत हैं जिनमें से 3049 पद खाली पड़े हैं। इन रिक्तियों के कारण परिचालन में दिक्कतें आती थीं और सेवाओं की गुणवत्ता प्रभावित हो रही थी। इस समस्या का तत्काल समाधान जरूरी था।

Himachal News: हिमाचल स्मार्ट मीटर योजना के तहत 2026 से हिमाचल प्रदेश में बिजली उपभोक्ताओं को अपने मीटर पहले रिचार्ज करने होंगे। हिमाचल प्रदेश राज्य बिजली बोर्ड (HPSEBL) ने इसकी पूरी तैयारी कर ली है। रिचार्ज खत्म होने पर बिजली कट जाएगी, लेकिन उपभोक्ताओं को पांच दिन पहले SMS और ऑनलाइन अलर्ट मिलेंगे। यह कदम बिजली बिलों की वसूली और बोर्ड की आर्थिक स्थिति सुधारने के लिए उठाया गया है। स्मार्ट मीटर की विशेषताएं हिमाचल स्मार्ट मीटर प्रीपेड सिस्टम पर काम करेंगे, जैसे मोबाइल रिचार्ज। उपभोक्ता अपनी जरूरत और बजट के अनुसार बिजली रिचार्ज कर सकेंगे। HPSEBL के अध्यक्ष संजय गुप्ता ने बताया कि यह सिस्टम उपभोक्ताओं को बिजली खपत पर नियंत्रण देगा। अगर कोई 500 रुपये का मासिक रिचार्ज चाहता है, तो वह उतनी बिजली इस्तेमाल कर सकेगा। यह सुविधा परिवारों के बजट को संतुलित रखने में मदद करेगी।

The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board management has withdrawn a chargesheet issued against Lokesh Thakur and Hira Lal Verma, the two officials who serve as Convener and Co-Convener, respectively, of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) representing HPSEBL employees, engineers and pensioners. This decision has been taken following meeting between the committee and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on August 12. JAC co-convener HL Verma said the board management had withdrawn the chargesheet after the CM’s intervention. A restriction on the union activities outside the board office has also been lifted. He said the CM had also directed the board management to expedite payment of outstanding gratuity, leave encashment and revised pension to pensioners.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today assured a delegation of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) that the government would consider its legitimate demands sympathetically. He said, “Vacant posts in the organisation will be filled to streamline its operations.” The employee union and the board management are at loggerheads as the latter had chargesheeted and transferred two office-bearers of the union. The JAC delegation urged Sukhu for the withdrawal of the chargesheet and the return of the office-bearers. “The Chief Minister wasn’t happy over the chargesheeting issue and asked the management to withdraw the chargesheet,” said HL Verma, JAC co-convener.

The electricity board released the bills after Kangana alleged today that she had never paid bills above Rs 5,000. The bill history showed that Kangana had paid bills of around Rs 5,000 only once since December 2023 and Rs 5,433 in October 2024. Other than that, her bills had been in the range of around Rs 10,000 to Rs 55,000 per month.

Kangana, while addressing a public gathering in Mandi on Tuesday, had claimed that she had received a Rs 1 lakh bill for her Manali residence where she didn’t even stay.
