#HSP2025
For folx at #HSP2025, tune in at 2:15 for our talk on the processing of Switch-Reference Marking in Nungon, a language spoken by ~1000 ppl that requires speakers to inflect the verb not just for features of its subject, but also for the UPCOMING subject!

Just presented our work using #ECoG to decode words during sentence production at #HSP2025. Really grateful for all the great feedback. I got more clever ideas for future directions than I can possibly follow up on. Love this conference!

Little late here but this talk at #hsp2025 yesterday was SO neat. Literacy effects disappear when you control for differences in SES. Work by Jessica Vélez Avilés and Paola (Giuli) Dussias

hey bsky! i'm at HSP2025 presenting work on perspective inferencing (w/ Craig Chambers): over many expts, we found readers use situation-specific reasoning (not just heuristics!) to resolve ambiguous pronouns. here, we show how even simple intrasentential info shifts typical antecedent preferences:

I'll be presenting data from a project run in parallel to the one presented in @vrtliceralde.bsky.social's talk yesterday, this time exploring how individual differences in 10- to 15-year-olds affect language processing. Work with @duanegwatson.bsky.social.

Poster session 2 at #hsp2025 today!

Excited to party with other psycholinguists at Planet Word for #HSP2025 - that sounds so cool!

I'm also presenting two posters (eye-tracking/Cascade Reading, an NC experiment), as well as a demo session with Julie Van Dyke about engaging communities with syntax! Hope to see everyone soon!

Flying into DC tomorrow for #HSP2025 at my alma mater, U Maryland!

I land around 5 PM EST on Tuesday, and will bum around UMD campus on Wednesday (grades are due, and the new quarter starts Monday, so I'll have my hands full...). Say hi if you wanna grab a coffee, lunch or – better yet – cowork!

Our director, @charlottevaughn.bsky.social, is in the middle of a back-to-back-to-back conference circuit, giving an invited talk last week at #hsp2025, a poster this week at #ScienceTalk25, and co-chairing #LingComm25 next week. 😅 Excited to spread the word about @langscistation.bsky.social!

#HSP2025 is next week! Will present my work about attraction in Turkish (again 😅) as a plenary talk. Did you know that the Formal Addressee, not the subject of the sentence, can control the agreement in Turkish? Come listen to me if you are curious about what would happen in attraction scenarios.
