Very grateful to have received the Gibson/Fedorenko Award at #HSP2026, and sorry I couldn’t attend this year. HSP feels like my academic home, so I’m especially touched. Thank you to the community, organizers, and donors who make it possible!

Made it to Boston 🇺🇸 yesterday! Excited to present my work at #HSP2026 starting on Thursday - look forward to new NPI (and NCI) illusion findings! Also, if anyone wants to hang out pre-conference-style today, ping me a message!

Have three posters with my awesome collaborators today at #hsp2026! Read on more and come to the posters to talk about the importance of neutral baselines in priming, the need to model uncertainty in meaning in RSA, and the dissociation of prediction and structural processing in eye-tracking!

Finishing up my #HSP2026 abstract reviews now! So sad I'll have to miss out this year, would've loved to visit MIT! :'(

Had a great first day at #HSP2026 yesterday! Looking forward to presenting on the relationship between reading time, n-grams, and language model scaling at the 12.10-2pm poster session today!

Are you going to #HSP2026? CLiMBLab is! We hope to see you there. Check out our posters and talks below (chronological order):

My first time presenting at a linguistics conference! Come chat with me about a behavioral experiment on quantifier verification. ~ Most ~ of the time, I'm very entertaining and informative 😸 #HSP2026
Poster 2 (# 112). Randa Viets looks at Semantic Automata and Iterated (multiple) quantifiers. SA is an interesting attempt to provide a computational/algorithmic theory of quantifier verification. Do we confirm it? Not really! But we get some intriguing results! hsp2026.org/abstracts/su...

I’m at #HSP2026 at MIT this week! I’ll be giving a talk Friday at 5:25pm entitled “Structural Priming Effects in Language Models are Less Human-like in Languages Other Than English”. Looking forward to chatting to everyone!

Just arrived in Boston for #HSP2026!

I'll be presenting my work with
@thomashikaru.bsky.social
on error sensitivity in next-word predictions of humans and LMs — Friday 12:10–2:00pm poster session. Come say hi!

All these #HSP2026 posts makes me feel bad for not attending considering it’s in my backyard.

#HSP2026 invited talk by Anna Papafragou on event cognition is the coolest thing I have seen this whole conference (with no shade to lots of other cool things I have seen)
March 28, 2026 at 1:30 PM
Come see my #HSP2026 poster at MIT Building 46 starting in mere moments! I'll be showing you how reading and decision-making are sensitive to the probabilities of the semantic categories of words in joint work with @lgrobol.eu and Ryan Hubbard!

#HSP2026 has begun! First up is Ray Jackendoff talking about language and thought --

Excited for #HSP2026! LInC Lab has a busy Saturday! 🧠🗣️

🖼️ Posters:
• Olivia Gawel on memory & noisy-channel inference
• Tevin Williams on linguistic alignment & memory for conversation

🎤 Talk:
• Yours truly on eye-tracking & real-time noisy-channel inference

Come chat/give feedback! 👋

Saturday, I'll have another poster on work with Philip Resnik & @colinphillips.bsky.social exploring how we can enrich a toy cognitive model of reaction times in a speeded cloze task with data from language models.

I'll be presenting some work comparing how humans and LMs make predictions at #HSP2026 this week, please reach out if you'd like to meet!

Tomorrow, I'll have a poster on work with @byungdoh.bsky.social comparing cloze & LM surprisals as predictors of reading time hsp2026.org/abstracts/su...

Finally, Poster 7 (#54) So Young Lee and I test RCs in Korean once more. We carefully control for attachment plausibility and manipulate the length of the RC. We find no effect of length, and again high individual variability not modulated by WMC scores hsp2026.org/abstracts/su...!

Saturday! Poster 6 (#198) Relatedly, Shota, Grusha and I extend previous super cool work by Shota, and use a priming experiment to test whether English speakers represent null complementizers in full RCs but not in reduced RCs. Wanna find out? Come see our poster! hsp2026.org/abstracts/su...

We argue that some “neutral” baselines used in previous studies might not be “structurally neutral” after all, and that graded priming alone is insufficient to infer shared structure, and for explicit commitments to structural and processing details hsp2026.org/abstracts/su...

We find high individual level variation, and that attachment preference is modulated by individual English proficiency as measured in a cloze task. No direct WMC effects but maybe cloze is also capturing that? hsp2026.org/abstracts/su...
