At the same time, under the European Hydis programme, MBDA Group is developing the Aquila missile, which is capable of reaching these altitudes and designed to intercept hypersonic missiles in the terminal phase and hypersonic glide vehicles in the glide phase.

Galahat is a lesser cousin of the noble house Galastiri, the lords of the city of Silvermoon, in which Silvermoor resides. Well... 😏 I would say the coefficient of the ramp-up is as high as the production in 2022 was low.

STRATUS LO (TP15) & STRATUS RS (RJ10) should enter into development phase "soon"...

Also, the selection by EU FED between HYDIS (🇫🇷 🇩🇪 🇮🇹 🇳🇱, MBDA...) and HYDEF (🇪🇸 🇩🇪 🇧🇪 🇵🇱 🇳🇴) is expected in late 2026.

With a threat perception from Russia around 2027-2029, abysmal Aster production rates, running PAC-2 production in Germany and existing Patriot missile stocks, throwing out Patriot systems now seems unwise.
But yeah, in the future, we need to consolidate in Europe. Perhaps around HYDIS/HYDEF.

I would be quite happy could we agree on Aster 30 B1 NT for the long range and ballistic missile defense in Europe, forget IRIS-T SLX and concentrate on developing HYDEF/HYDIS for defense against hypersonic glide vehicles.
An SM-3 equivalent is not planned afaik, so Israeli Arrow 3 comes into play.
