On HackerOne you can request a report to be made public, but it's tied to my personal identity so I can't. My job is not as a bug bounty hunter it's just a fun anecdote.

Twice this week I’ve heard from researchers who literally can’t disclose security vulnerabilities to companies, because they refuse to accept them. The companies will only let them go through outside services like HackerOne, where coincidentally you have to sign an NDA.

AI vulnerability/bug founds and reports is a huge problem. Curl has banned the use of AI-generated submissions via HackerOne because none of it made any sense, and is a waste of resources and time. "If we could, we would charge them for this waste of our time" hackerone.com/reports/3125...

Here's the latest #curl hackerone issue I mentioned the other day: hackerone.com/reports/2871... another one of those "we found a function call so therefore your program must be vulnerable".

Disclosed for educational purposes. Don't do this.

(Yes, it looks totally AI generated)

⚠️ The Node.js Project now requires a HackerOne Signal score of 1.0 or higher to submit vulnerability reports. This will help our team streamline reports and support effective security reviews.

HackerOne, ripe for atmospheric disruption. Not a VC-sized opportunity; just need 2-3 reputable hackers making their own ideal bounty tracker. Fellow hackers log in using their self-authenticated atmosphere accounts, get verified by peers and institutions.
