idk how it is with the hamgeek but the two concerns to have with the SSo:
1. it has one stick of ram, you can't upgrade it, I've only come across this being a limitation with using the Sinden lightgun with heavier cores so far but maybe further cores will be an issue
2. it takes forever to ship lol

idk how it is with the hamgeek but the two concerns to have with the SSo:
1. it has one stick of ram, you can't upgrade it, I've only come across this being a limitation with using the Sinden lightgun with heavier cores so far but maybe further cores will be an issue
2. it takes forever to ship lol

The current release has HDMI issues related to CEC changes on Hamgeek/QMTech clones, and it's possible that's what you're running into if you're fully updated. Until they do a new release, the options are to use an unstable version or the previous stable.

I was right not to trust the SD card they packed in with the hamgeek MiSTer, dead already (fortunately I save all my games and stuff on an NFS mount)
caveats:
no power switch
sd card is no-name and I don't trust it
you'll still need your own cables
power/disk/user leds not very readable. all are red with no light pipes
sd card is pre installed but old. run update.sh before trying update_all

I was right not to trust the SD card they packed in with the hamgeek MiSTer, dead already (fortunately I save all my games and stuff on an NFS mount)
I like this thing more than the MiSTer I put together back when they were still expensive.
One thing I did notice is that with the hamgeek one, I can't get direct video working with a HDMI-to-VGA that works with my other MiSTer. I don't know if that's an overall compatibility problem or what.

I like this thing more than the MiSTer I put together back when they were still expensive.
