I'm all for "emotional wellbeing": but for an inclusive version that acknowledges diversity in human experience. I don't doubt that many "need" an "optimistic" orientation. But many others (myself included) are deeply allergic to #HappyTalk. "Our" emotional wellbeing is also a legitimate aspiration.

#TLDR: despite much #HappyTalk there is no societal licence for the *prioritisation* of climate action that is now absolutely essential. That licence won't arise spontaneously (or not till things get much worse). But it can and should be actively *sought*. That must be an absolute priority in CAP26.

seems to me maybe one interpretation is a MTP interview two and a half years at minimum before he can actually make a meaningful decision here is basically happytalk for a Sunday show. maybe look at him and the DNC as "good cop bad cop" for the squeamish center, idfk

What I meant was that there has been a massive load of online weirdness for thirty years and it would be nice to read WHY this crap happened. Twitter needs an oral history, as does Reddit, Digg, Wikipedia, YouTube, etc.. Not corporate happytalk, but actual users (including the real monsters.)
