#Haptics
Hmm… Fun idea.

A micro sized protogen chassis. That’s linked up to a VR headset with tracking.

Put on the headset, basically become the tiny protogen. All the bells and whistles, haptics, etc.

"Haptics" are always kind of cool. Especially in the context of a heist scenario.

My Haptics book is somewhat queertolerant, although the protagonist is aphobic despite himself being queer himself.

The Elf Kingdom is variable degrees of tolerance. The capital and liberal cities are ok if its discrete. Royal guards are ok with queernormativity among its ranks.

what would be really cool is using that volumetric display tech to add gesture haptics and maybe directional sound

Can you feel the difference? WYVRN's user study tested MPEG-I Haptics encoding on Meta Quest 3 and SenseGlove. On the controller, users picked the encoded effect 47% of the time, statistically the same as guessing.

We used to watch the spark, hear the click click click, then feel the woomph as the gas caught. There was a thrill in the held breath between cold house and cosy hearth. Now haptics clicked where idea was not yet words, and with held breath the #exhilaration warmed as a story caught fire. #vss365

Back to playing with sticks and stones.

Inspired by Zach Liebermans autumn leaves explorations.

Testing how (and if?) haptics, structure, texture and images can offer a way out of the default flat and geometric visuals that code so often leads to.

The Touch Bar needed haptics

Surely the fancy new haptics tech in PS5 controllers and the like are being used in sex toys by now, right? Would it be hot to convert music to vibration data on the fly and really feel the climax of a song?

lmao this happens to me to when i stream games, dualsense haptics come through on discord streams and make audio really bad

the haptics on the steam controller are crazy I actually forget there's no tactile button on the trackpad 'click' until I play a game with a controller preset that doesn't use the trackpads

Was trying to get clips of phantom blade zero earlier but was confounded by some really weird audio caused by attacks and parries and I'm learning it's because the recording somehow picks up the dualsense controller's haptics????

I don’t know how my Watch started doing haptics every hour.

For the bowling game, I want to simulate oil pattern breakdown and ball physics but remove the timing elements in most bowling games because imo you can't simulate it too well without crazy haptics. My first tactics game

if you buy a raspberry pi zero 2w you can use it as a wireless dongle drop in thing for a dualsense, giving you full features (haptics etc) wirelessly via the usb port

it’s as simple as dragging the firmware file onto the 2w to flash it, pair the dualsense, and that’s it

AGNG HOLO requires every consoling pattern to be chosen, adjustable, and stoppable. The system must not claim that a vibration contains empathy. Empathy remains a relation among persons; haptics can only support the conditions in which care is received. (3/4)

YOO congrats! you can now play "Want you Gone" on your steam controller using haptics!

Also what is this poor cable going through T-T

That sensor tile is fun - I've played around with it for routing signals into the brain via haptics ala sensory substitution/expansion/addition, although the practicality is low in that use case vs a gesture secured lock box.

Reminds me of the android pattern lock screen, but made physical.
