I do love my audio editing setup now. I’d love a new control surface but they’re really expanding and my current one is still a work horse. The Harbeth speakers are so nice to have now. I can wait to do a proper mix on them.

FYI those are Harbeth speakers JayZ and Rick Rubin are listening to in the trailer for their new 8-part series about making music. Yes, of course I have an early (late 1970s) pair of their original 2-way Monitors if you want to drop by and hear them.

前から訪れてみたかった関内のミュージックバー「Listen」へ。"現在"の音楽をメインとした選曲が最高のお店だった。特にRobert Mitchell 3ioによるMassive Attack「Teardrop」のカバーからSilent Poetsの新作への繋ぎは痺れたなぁ。Harbethのスピーカーも初めて聴いたけど、素晴らしい音でしたね♪

Hatte heute Gelegenheit, mal die mittleren Harbeth-Boxen zu hören. Geile Teile, prinzipiell.
Aber selbst an einem sehr potenten Linn-Amp, der doppelt so teuer ist, wie das Paar Lautsprecher, klingt der Bass doch reichlich schlank. Sonst fast schon erschreckend natürlich.

Good eye. That system was a Rega P8/Ortofon Cadenza and a Naim XS3 with a MC Stageline on one of the powered inputs. The speakers were Harbeth P3s

Finally got around to cat proofing the sound system. We picked up an old Electrohome console last year, ripped out the guts and placed the good speakers (Harbeth) inside behind the vintage fabric thus protecting them from the claws. Plus it looks cool :)

I’ve always been intrigued by little monitors, the good ones can sound amazing… but when it comes time to buy I gravitate towards bigger speakers. I inherited an early pair of Harbeth 2-way monitors but they’re pretty big. Sound quite good still, 45 years later.

I decided to measure everything. I currently have my Genelecs in place of the Harbeth. They are in a 50" apart , acoustical center to acoustical center of each speaker, and 50" from my ears to form an equal length triangle. Its very nearfield. I don't know if the R3 would work that close.

I have the P3ESR from Harbeth. I absolutely love them. Tiny form factor but rich and accurate sounding.

Sonus and Harbeth are probably my two favorite non-horn speakers. Spendors are nice also, but expensive. I run a tube amp/tube preamp combo. I love the way horns sound with tubes. To me Altec and Klipsch replicate cymbals, pianos and brass better. Though some find them way too sharp and fatiguing.

Uau molt bé. Si sensibilitat s'ha de mirar molt bé en vàlvules😓. Harbeth em sona haver-los escoltat al high end de Munich aquest any. Graham no n'estic segur. I ja saps, si estàs a prop fins edat rodona t'inventes una crisi i li'n dones la culpa de la compra👌🏽

古いHarbethはウーファーのエッジが頑丈でいい。その分鳴らしにくいのかもしれないけれど、ここでは全然それを感じない。アンプもCDプレーヤーも問題なし。
