##Northantsbirds From yesterday, nice to relocate the Spotted Redshank on Hardwater Lake, bonus Whimbrel there too. Summerleys held 3 Black-tailed Godwit and a Greenshank, with a tonne of Garden Warbler around the reserve; some nice views of the pair of Grey Partridge too.

#Northantsbirds A fantastic days birding in the county started in our garden at dawn with a calling Song Thrush which eventually flew up and away from a nearby bush, a very rare bird here! Did a litter-pick at Hardwater Crossing before going to Summerleys, just 2 Dunlin and the Marys drake Scaup

#Northantsbirds Family lunch at The Stag in Gt Doddington today, so had a wander round Summerleys to walk it off. Very quiet again, no migrants about; 2 Caspian Gulls incl. a brief adult at the Cormorant Spit, plus a 1W type there, which flew to Gull Is. No sign of Glossy Ibis on Hardwater Lake.
