Interessant finde ich auch den autonomenen Endanflug ohne Userinteraktion - das ganze Kurzstrecken-EW-Zeugs wird damit quasi nutzlos. Läuft wohl doch wieder auf Hardkill-Systeme hinaus.

A development program of anti-torpedo hardkill system was terminated, but may come back with a different program name and kill vehicle derived from the same prototype.
I'm wondering if anyone will get directed energy (lasers, microwave) miniaturised to the point that it's able to be fitted to tanks to hardkill incoming soft targets like fpv drones.

Es gibt immer einen Platz für Panzer. Es hat einfach einen enormem Vorteil eine große Feuerkraft unter starker Panzerung zu bewegen. Es braucht eben auch viele Drohnen um einen operierenden (modernen) Mbt auszuschalten. Denke wenn dieser nicht nur ew sondern auch hardkill Abwehr mitführen kann.

Le blindage ERA c'est le niveau 0 de la protection moderne. Le blindage passif est le dernier recours, le plus efficace en termes de protection c'est pas du ERA/NERA, mais d'empêcher le coup au but, hardkill/softkill/SA... Tout ce dont le XLR n'est PAS doté malheureusement.

Sounds awesome, I love the T95 series. There were some crazy ideas that never came to fruition through the 50s and 60s like one design for a fully analog hardkill active protection system tested on I think M48? Maybe with access to more solid state electrics they'd be able to pull off stuff earlier
