One of my wonkiest rescued houseplants (Hatiora salicornioides, maybe??) bloomed for the first time! I've been struggling to get its light and water correct, but I'm newly encouraged

Only last year I learned (thanks to my daughter) that there are all these different cultivars. She sent me this image, but the naming is different from the wikipedia article here:

The cactus Mason gifted me three-years-ago has decided to start blooming yellow flowers! It is covered with buds that are yet to bloom!

Oh! Well... the cactus with the yellow flowers is Hatiora salicornioides, their common name is Dancing-Bones because they grow in those bone-like, zig-zag segments. I used to have one as a houseplant.

Hatiora Salicornioides experiment: Last year I learned it's possible to get it to flower indoors with reduced temp/light, so moved to coldest SE facing room, away from window w no luck, but my little cutting flowered in different SE window, on sill. This year trying big plant much closer to window.

EGAL: Hab Freude

4. Plant Symbolism: The Gallivarge clans pay reverence to their local flora on their banners & in their clan names. For them the Hatiora represents the resilience & adaptability of delicate things. 🧵(/end)
