A modern track runs right alongside the south-western rampart. The north-eastern side is defended by the natural steep slope of Hatterall Hill. 📷 Alastairha More: http://www.megalithi...

Patrolling the border! A heavy but enjoyable 21km #hike from Llanthony, up to Hatterall Ridge and back via Cwmyoy. Absolutely beautiful countryside and very quiet. Just my thoughts and the breeze. #sunday #onmywalk #monmouthshire #walking #weekend

Remember this @peterance.bsky.social ?the speck in the distance is you racing on ahead to get to Hatterall Ridge, Offa’s Dyke Path, on my Longtown to Hay-on-Wye leg of my ‘Old bloke goes for a stroll’ hike for the Midlands Air Ambulance.
That was a steep climb on such a hot day.

What weather we've had up on Hatterall Ridge in the Black Mountains recently. Ethel either living up to the Anglo-Saxon translation of her name as Noble, or just looking confused!
