Well done getting there despite the conditions. Prior to my Hautacam ride my brother spent ages telling me about such changeable conditions but it was hard to believe when we were there given the heat. Anyway excellent work. Hope you warm up soon.

Day 2 I have just done Hautacam and then carried on a bit further up to Col de Tramassel. Whoever decided to add in 10 and then 11% sections in that climb is a pervert.

Thanks, I think Hautacam today, and now I have written it, I need to do it. My father in law who used to have a place near here and who is a very keen cyclist always talks about how much he hates that climb. There does look like there are some fairly steep ramps on it, which I am not a big fan of

That suits just fine, it'll be similar to Hautacam in that respect. I've just consulted my map & see both Col du Portillon and Hospice de France could work well as a 2nd climb after S/b.

Een weinig spectaculaire held: Miguel Indurain. Dat kwam door mijn vader die supporter was van Big Mig en me daardoor aanleerde dat juli altijd in het teken stond van de Tour de France... Hautacam '93 is mijn eerste koersherinnering (dat gevecht tegen Virenque en Leblanc!).

Een weinig spectaculaire held: Miguel Indurain. Dat kwam door mijn vader die supporter was van Big Mig en me daardoor aanleerde dat juli altijd in het teken stond van de Tour de France... Hautacam '93 is mijn eerste koersherinnering (dat gevecht tegen Virenque en Leblanc!).

Another time where Vingegaard is bitching to the team because of his own fault. If anything, his focus on explosivity in 2025 made him worse in mountains like Hautacam. Now the cycle starts again and Visma is kidnapped in what he wants.
Reality is that he won´t win again over Pog in normal cond.

It was fine. The caveat being I'd only cycled from Carpentras so I had no other hills in my legs. First time I went up Hautacam I'd done this lot before it so it was a bit more of a slog ;-)

How did you find the climb? From the car it looked longer (obviously) than Hautacam but without too many bigger gradients, so therefore quite do-able.

My favourite photo from the top of the Hautacam is probably this one. The horses were pretty much in the same spot when we drove up again this pm. Their road, their space - not moving for anyone 🤣

From Bagneres-de-Bigorre & La Mongie, then down to Luz-Saint-Sauveur. Straight from there up Hautacam & Tramassel to show my wife what I saw on yesterday's ride, so it's been quite the day for spectacular views 😊

Le Slovène, qui récupère le maillot jaune, fait mieux que les 2'10'' d'avance sur Vingegaard, déjà, à Hautacam l'an dernier lors de la 12e étape.

2:10 entre Pogacar et Vingegaard à Hautacam, l'an dernier. Plus de 2:40 cette année à Gavarnie. Même en étant plus fort, Vingegaard a découvert que Pogacar était aussi devenu plus fort. C'est terrible... #TDF2026
