Also got mansplained by an older guy while I was getting more blades, and I’m like I just prefer Havalon for taxidermy because I don’t wanna stop and sharpen a blade a billion times when these are just so much sharper and faster. Let me be!!!

Here’s me thinking that you’re supposed to use sharps like this for skinning though??? I know it’s different but every study specimen I’ve ever done for museum work was skinned with Havalon sharps.

The #Havalon blade #adapter allows me to attach a variety of replaceable #scalpel blades, or a #saw to the adapter. That will save wear and tear on the permanent blades and saw. #Victorinox, add this feature!
I had to #peen a brass #bushing into the hole in the blade adaptor to make it work.

The #Havalon blade adapter takes task-specific blades and a #saw. With this modification, you can replace a worn blade with a new one in seconds. Extra blades come in a plastic case that fits in the #LeatherCase I made for my #knife.

I finished my daily carry custom #SAK after months of disruptions due to part sourcing issues and travel.
The most important modification is the inclusion of a #Havalon #blade adapter.

In both images, you can see the custom #BladeGuard that I made for the #Havalon blade. The protruding blade guard prevents the knife tip from catching and the blade from unfolding while carried in a pocket.
The right picture also shows the #GlassBreaker / #punch tip on the left side.
