Mid-air drama!
Two Black Kites going head-to-head during the flying display at @hawkconservancy and they almost look like a mirror image of each other! 😍

Which one do you think has the upper hand? 👀

Meet Sarabi

This is Sarabi, a beautiful Lugger Falcon I photographed at the Hawk Conservancy Trust.
Just look at those eyes! 👀 That fierce little stare definitely says “I see you…” 😂
Small bird, serious attitude!

A striking portrait of one of nature’s most powerful raptors.

🪶 Did you know? Black Kites are close relatives of our native Red Kites and, like them, are opportunistic feeders that often soar effortlessly while searching for food.

Up close and personal with this gorgeous stork at the Hawk Conservancy Trust
Looking rather coy… and very cute! 😂❤️

🪶 Little fact: White storks are being reintroduced to the UK after disappearing as a breeding bird for around 600 years! 🇬🇧

A close-up portrait of this beautiful Kookaburra, taken at the Hawk Conservancy Trust.

Did you know? Kookaburras are actually part of the kingfisher family, although you probably wouldn't expect that from this rather impressive bill! 😍

This beautiful Kookaburra was an absolute joy to photograph at the Hawk Conservancy Trust.

Fun fact: despite looking very different from our familiar kingfishers, Kookaburras are actually members of the kingfisher family!

What a beautiful bird. ❤️

In a wooded glade in Hampshire … this Boobook lives at The Hawk Conservancy Trust. I was so privileged to be able to photograph him in the woodland. He looked straight at me and sent a tingle down my spine. #boobook #owl #hawkconservancytrust

As day turns to dusk to night, the owls in my garden come out to fly. I met this owl at the wonderful Hawk Conservancy Trust. I love those eyes. #owl #hawkconservancytrust #owlworld

Bateleur eagle is often referred to as "the warrior bird" by some African cultures.

This raptor can spend up to 9 hours a day in the air, soaring over vast distances (up to 300 miles) with little effort.

They are currently listed as Endangered or Vulnerable.
