led headlights should be banned and their creators sent to The Hague, especially those led highlights that seem to change color in the most insanely distracting way possible

Photo of sunset over a parking lot. The sky is a gray with dark puffy clouds and yellow and orange highlights. The sun is a double yellow blob. There are trees in shadows on the horizon. The parking lot has parked cars that are in shadows with the fading light highlighting them, one car coming towards the camera with headlights on, a person walking, and tall lighted light poles.

What is just as bizarre as the timing of this cover story is the quality of the lead photo. The blown out highlights and the 'rabbit caught in headlights' look from Peter 'Files' Mandelson make it look like a rush job.

Daytime #headlights make you seen.

Why highlights and not #headlights?

This photo look like it could have been taken on the #lunar surface! Gravelly area of a park lit up by car headlights. #photography #moon
Muddy surface with lots of gravel. In the distance a cars headlights are illuminating the surface giving it harsh highlights and shadows making it look like a surface that looks like it has lots of creators. The shadows are long because of the low level of the light.

A vintage green 1959 Chevrolet Biscayne with visible rust and wear is parked on a leaf-covered street in late autumn. The classic car features a distinctive front grille and dual headlights, contrasting with modern vehicles like a Ford truck and sedans nearby. Bare trees and residential buildings in the background suggest a chilly, late fall or early winter setting. The nostalgic scene highlights the juxtaposition of automotive eras.

While not as dramatic as the neon paintjob, I'm still very happy with the monotone metal. It's good to have a couple of schemes that are super easy to apply. It makes creating replacements for the #Gaslands Open a relatively easy process. These just have some black lining, shading and dusting.
Matchbox Mountain Mover and S.W.A.T. Truck in gunmetal gray with heavy shading, silver highlights and black lining. Headlights and taillights were also painted in.

Work-in-progress paintjob status of my telemon dreadnought miniature. The photography was taken in front of grey background and has a very low opacity CryoCheese icon in the bottom left corner. The painted to be mostly shiny black armor, with some sharp highlights in white blended out with blues and purples and blue-purple shoulder pads. The decorative details are painted to look silver and there's accent coloration done in magenta, like the rocket tips, the headlights and eye lenses of the dreadnoughts head. It's placed above a rune on the base, which glows in a blue-green-yellow color blend, so the bottom parts of the dreadnought are lit up accordingly by that osl. Happy new year, everyone! 💖

This was the last painting of 2025!
I found time inbetween christmas and new years to paint a few more volumetric highlights and I'm quite happy with them!

They do deserve some refinement tho 😅
