My grandfather was friends with Tommy Douglas. He was the architect of universal healthcase in Canada.

Let us tax Elon's wealth at 70% to pay for schools and healthcase and if he doesn't like it, he can move to Mars #TaxMusk

I get the feeling this is a SmartTrack: GTA Edition. We'll get a few new stations opening in the late 2040s. These are definitely 2 great new GO lines (where's the 3rd??), but it feels like a pre-election stunt, like suddently funding healthcase again.

Amidst the endless list of self-interested cowards & genoc1de-enthusiasts who people Toronto healthcase, media & academia, there remains a few people whose moral courage & ethical clarity shines bright. Kavita Algu + @smohyeddin.bsky.social are two of those people ❤

The issue was clear --
healthcare or no healthcase.
It was an open ad shut case.
This was no time for a sense of Schumer.

I hate that David Johansen, like so many artists, elder or otherwise, had to crowdsource for healthcare costs the last month of his life. I don't trust Dems to do shit but blame the (kinda) Left. But if these goofies don't finally rally around universal healthcase, fuk em forever.

The thing is has and always will discard any study that does not support his positions. Best to stop all studies.

They've prioritized minimizing healthcase/SSA/SSDI claims over protecting the citizens, to contribute to the super-rich-tax-break fund.

I hear you - and to have to do it in America where healthcase isn't free as well. Jesus buddy - that must be hard. I have a medical condition too - but I get meds free from the NHS (well - obviously my taxes go to pay for that too but I agree with that to cover people who couldn't afford them).

Shit like that get so much traction over there when the answer to EVERYTHING is medication which costs a fortune in a system that has no free healthcase. Intellectual property laws used by the IMF to stop cheaper overseas alternatives being made too according to Stiglitz in Globalization and Its

What I did say is that the effect if undocumented immigrants on the healthcase system generally, the specific of those impacts on rural vs. urban areas, on food banks, shelter space, etc. are complex topics that require WORK and thought, and some technology to correlate the data to begin understand.

Yup, and even if you somehow make it elsewhere, you still have to pay yearly fees on top of everything else and pay into healthcase for a time if it's somewhere that has national health.

I've seen people wanting to know areas to live without checking if they can get a visa first lol

LLMs offer promise for collecting Social Determinants of Health data at-scale, but evaluation methods are needed.

@cuanschutz.bsky.social researchers, including biomedical researcher James Mitchell, PhD, developed a rubric and iterative evaluation approach. Learn more ➡️ https://cudbmi.info/sdoh-1

LOL reddit's nursing sub is ALL IN on the CEO Shooter: Everyman Hero.

When the folks--right and left--most in deep with the insurance industry are basically asking "who's next lol!"

...that might not be a good sign for healthcase execs.

While I disagree with the idea that ACA meant the destruction of the USA I do think that it is STRONGLY complicit in the rise of the healthcase budget, the national deficit and the cost of healthcare overall. The Trillion$ jumps in deficit became recurring under/after Obama!

I’ve emailed Derek Brown to join the lawsuit. It will likely do nothing but I hope others will do the same.
Ask him to Request to Join Civil Action No. 25-CV-10338-AK in Support of the National Institutes of HealthCase Number:018421 CRM:0100643

Unfortunately the TRO is limited to the 22 plaintiff states.

Every state should join this suit.

If yours hasn’t, tell your AG to do their job and represent your interests.
