Public Health Director Jessica Mickelson and staff presented a 2027 budget with a proposed levy request of about $1.383 million (a 31% reduction), citing staff retirements, program transfers (MN Choices), contract renegotiations and grant changes that together reduce the county ask by roughly $634,000.
