I must say again, PLEASE get pet insurance or a savings account for your animal's medical bills. Our bills between Eva and Ollie in a month were going to be appx. 25K with chemo but our insurance paid for 70%. Obv 30% is still a lot here. We use Healthypaws, they reimbursed each appt within 24hrs.

I've used HealthyPaws since 2016. Hands down they have been amazing. When my 6 year old yorkie went into renal failure, they paid $46k in claims and were absolutely incredible.

HealthyPaws insurance (all pet insurance in general) needs a Luigi. A 400%+ increase for literally no reason except greed. Pigs pre-existing conditions & age prevent us from moving insurers, as is the story with most aging pet owners.

The company that I have my policy with (Healthypaws) has been sold to Chubb since my last major vet emergency. I’ve heard they’ve been more difficult to work with. Since I got the policy early on when my cat was young and didn’t have any known health issues, I think I’m locked in to a decent deal.

I'm debating on taking Kiba off his Healthypaws insurance. It's jumping up in price in another two months and I can't see keeping him on it. So either I can try to bump down once again how much we're reimbursed or I take him off and we just put money away each month as a just in case.

HealthyPaws was the insurance that the people I got Cake from had on her so we just transferred the policy to my name. They have my card on file. It has no balance on it. It expires in 2028. The account is set to autopay. I got a letter from them saying they were canceling her coverage… (1/?)

Yeah, I'm looking at a comparison tool and so far it looks like maybe HealthyPaws has the best rates for unlimited coverage (no annual cap, otherwise it defeats the whole deal since we can afford smaller emergencies, but not like, $30,000 illness) but I don't know anyone who has it.
