slick in a can final part #steddie

“Oh my god you asshole,” Steve half laughs, half groans. “You triggered my heat.”
The words take a second before they fully register. Heat. Steve is going into heat. Steve is going into a spontaneously triggered heat.
Slick in a can part 4:

“Look, I’m sorry, this is probably creepy and super intrusive and inappropriate and I totally get it, if I’m gonna lose the job now,” Eddie starts as soon as Steve opens his door. “But I needed to check on you.”

Steve is heavily leaning against the door
slick in a can part 3

“You’re gonna help me squirt.”

The words echo in Eddie’s mind and before he has even had a chance to fully comprehend them Steve has started stripping.

“Right now?” he squeaks as Steve shimmies out of his pants and pulls his briefs down too. Eddie

Extreme heat across parts of the globe has triggered heat warnings and alerts. Matthew Cappucci, a meteorologist at MyRadar, explains the different types of heat warnings and what they mean.

For the Artemis II launch, Erik Kuna used "pad remotes," placing sound-triggered cameras just 1,000ft away days in advance of the launch. It was a high-stakes gamble against rain, heat, and animals, risking gear destruction for a single, unrepeatable shot of the rocket’s ignition.

Amazon pushes an update that automatically turns off delivery drivers' AC during a dangerous heat wave - triggered after 30 seconds of not being seated

They made $717B in profit in 2025, yet continue to cut costs at the expense of their employees.

Don't use Amazon. Support your local businesses.
Software Update Automatically Turns off Amazon Delivery Drivers’ AC During Dangerous Summer Heat
A new software update is turning off the AC in Amazon delivery vans after 10 minutes or 30 seconds under certain conditions.

having joint pains that are triggered by the cold and having an allergy which is triggered by the heat is so totally not jepic

in addition, people acting like we don't need A/C apparently a) don't have medical conditions that get triggered/aggravated by heat ::raises hand:: b) thinks we should suck it up or c) both
Air conditioning is unapologetically a good thing because it helps people not die.

And one good thing about air conditioning is that it largely needs to run during the day when solar power is at its maximum: it can and should align with clean energy goals.

Now that the summer has come to an end, it's possible to have a view on the heat mortality in England and Wales in 2026

I come to 5,800 deaths triggered by heat, an amount which is far higher than say in 2020, 2021 or 2022 (which also saw significant heat-triggered deaths)

As you might expect, the recent unprecedented heat event across Europe has triggered an extreme marine heatwave in the western Mediterranean Sea, with sea surface temperature anomalies now exceeding +7°C in some areas.

mine are triggered by heat, bright light, and certain patterns, so that makes sense
I, an autistic baddie with a migraine disorder, just found out that MIGRAINES are now being understood as a SENSORY PROCESSING DISORDER?!

Give its association with social/emotional/sensory disorders, research has begun suggesting things like additional migraine screenings for folks with autism etc

Awfully nice of my chronic issue to be triggered by heat and I live right above the equator 🙃 I almost fainted outside while out on errands

i was in the process of reskeeting when i remembered an abrupt temperature change triggered my heart attack (clot) at 43. heat and cold kill

also, did you know heat is the *deadliest* form of extreme weather?
The reason I get really mad about people who dismiss AC as a frivolous luxury is the *same* reason I get really mad about people who claim that USAID was useless or evil:

these arguments all boil down to “I think the global death of millions of largely poor people is acceptable collateral damage.”

Saw this in the Times and it's pretty obvious the writer doesn't have any health conditions that get triggered by heat, tbh
“When it gets too hot, we lightly spray water on our arms, legs and faces; the water helps dissipate a lot of heat.“

Nah. Here’s a better idea: ensure equitable access to cooling and clean energy so people don’t die in heat waves.

hey @faineg.bsky.social you see this
