Second observation: if you hit a Nest Heatlink about where the relay is with a hammer with an appropriate amount of force you can unstick the relay. This is one of the few times where hitting it with a hammer has been more effective than hitting it with my wallet.

My heating is stuck on (due to a relay welded on in Nest Heatlink). I've manually set the boiler flow temp to 33 degrees. This will be interesting to see how comfortable the house is and how much it costs me in gas compared to the 65 degree flow temp it was on before.

De heatlink is het apparaat wat bij de ketel wordt geplaatst en met de thermostaat communiceert en voor de spanning van de thermostaat zorgt. Daar zit een diode in die na een aantal jaren stuk kan gaan.

I have an old school hot water tank. The heatlink and nest control both that and heating and no issues. Interesting that they gave you a voucher for Tado rather than a Nest upgrade.
Cameras were fine until the repeated price hikes. Probably going to go with a homebrew non-subscription approach.

Oh I inherited this Nest thermostat and heatlink when I bought this house. It has always intermittently disconnected its connection to the heatlink. This stops it controlling the boiler. The logical thing is to re pair the devices. Which it wouldn’t do.
