In the context of all the debate about whether or not adding more airport runways might challenge our emissions targets (it definitely will), it's interesting to note that emissions from aviation has risen faster than for any other modes in the UK in recent years.

If they can build it in an echo friendly carbon negative way, along with any infrastructure then there should be no issues.
It will help with transport links, and planes are moving towards #sustainability in jet fuels and reducing emissions too.
