HeavyCon 9 Begins!
HeavyCon starts today and with all the news coming out of the States, I'm trying very very hard not to spiral in despair of never going to HeavyCon again and seeing all my friends from that group.

It came! It came! I'm so happy I'll be able to go see my family and HeavyCon!
7 weekdays left, still no card.
Still no card. 9 weekdays left. I don't know if I can mentally survive having to cancel this trip --- would lead to a full breakdown.

Hardest week of the year for me is HeavyCon week. Most of the time I'm pretty good at focusing on what I've gained coming to Canada, but this week I intensely feel the paused friendships and lost experiences of the move.

My dream of playing this with 18p at a convention like HeavyCon is probably dead, but at 6-9p both Eastern Empires and Western Empires are so good. The disasters are catastrophic, and the game is about how you mitigate and rebuild from them.

Previous years, I ran a spreadsheet where people could sign up for scheduled games and let people know what games will be available at Heavycon.
Now I can't go, so someone else is doing it, but people ask me when they'll be available, and it's making me sad. Not their fault, but 😭.
