Day 4: Shadow

HellValleySkyTree

【 #WE_GOT_Inktober_AT_HOME | #inktober 】
Atop a large chunk of dirt, an ominous shadow figure with hollow eyes, fox ears and phantasmal tails watches back at you. A shadow of a fireball spirit watches back as well, partially hidden. They are actually trees, if you can believe that.

Luni is crouching in front of Meg, Quoony is in a lounging pose while giving out a peace gesture, and Roren is squatting while doing the peace sign with both her hands. Full body artwork of Natalie de Corsair's character Heather. The setting is a swamp resembling that of a US Southern swamp area, with tall grass and trees in the background, spanish moss hanging from above, bushes at the front, and fireflies peppered all around. Heather is seen wearing a transparent gown. She is also seen performing a floating dance above swamp water, with one of her talon feet lightly touching the water surface to cause a ripple effect, along with her right arm bending inward and her left arm aiming down. Both hands are open. She has her head, that resembling a stylized deer (she's an anthropomorphic character), facing directly to her left due to turning her long deer-like neck with her medium-to-long length hair twirling around in tandem with her head turn. She's seen looking at the viewer with a smile. There is a frog resting at the top of her head. Ribbit! Artwork of my fursona Dan Xavier Raleigh as a Wereraccoon resembling trail cam footage! He is positioned sideways in a crouching pose with both hands open as if he is about to claw something or someone. He's looking at the viewer with an angry snarl. The background consists of a dirt ground with tall grass at the far back of this art piece. It is set during the nighttime. Artwork of Karlach from Baldur's Gate 3. She is using her right arm in a flex to rest her battle axe on her shoulders behind her neck while looking at the POV with her head turned slightly right and tugging her leather straps with her left hand. She gives a killer smile. The background is a lush temperate forest resembling the setting in the video game.

I'm Arthos, a 2D artist that draws fanarts and OC stuff that includes anthro/monster people and I'm also LGBTQ+ friendly! I tend to draw in fantasy, sci-fi, and modern day settings, and I'm always open to new ideas! Examples below & 🧵4 info! #art #artistcommissions #commissionsopen #openforwork
Artwork of a really cool raccoon dude skateboarding down a road towards the beach. He's crouched down for maximum speed, and is wearing a speedo, protective gear for his knees and elbows, he had a helmet on (but it got loose and flew away), and he's also wearing his signature shades. Dan here has his tongue out like a dog. Why? I dunno. But his tail is also catching a breeze! In the background, there are sidewalks with pedestrians on them as well as there being palm trees. There is also a city skyline in the distance. Skateboard Full body illustration of Model Oneka of TrueRef, using the first image. She is seen posing on her side on the top of a wooden shelf while in a swimsuit with a beach ball. She is also wearing heels, sunglasses, and pearl necklace and bracelets, with her tugging on her necklace. The background consists of a painted mural resembling a beach, with large text saying "BEACH" cut off at the top left and palm leaves are seen at the top right. Old raffle piece I did for Durgenz's Destiny OC. He's decked in Titan gear while wielding a weapon. He's in a jumping pose with a void singularity in the background.

They always reminded me of the HellValleySkyTree guys Mario fans fantasized about based on their design and the location you find them.

They are very friend-shaped, though, so yes

Due to the nature of skyboxes, the player can never reach the "HellValleySkyTree"s in Super Mario Galaxy 2, even with hacks.

However, using a model viewer, it's revealed that they're massive compared to Mario.

In Super Mario Galaxy 2's Shiverburn Galaxy, using first-person view and looking up at the cliffs, 3 figures can be spotted in the background of the galaxy.

Their filename is "HellValleySkyTree" and they're never referenced or explained by the game.
