I finally got (the right now Japan-exclusive game), Hello Mario! on my American Nintendo Switch 2 console. To get this game, you have to change your Nintendo account with country to Japan.

The jump arcs.. aw Golly.
Spent 4 hours trying to integrate controls from a Mario clone (hellomario) but they were simply too steeped in different functions and stuff I'm not using to do what I wanted.
So instead of that I just added one line. And boom. Jump height depends on button hold/release
