maybe that’s how it’s gonna be in ghostbloods, maybe in the years since era 2 they figured out how to spike subjects without killing them.
i really really wanna play a scholar of hemalurgy, maybe set it up kinda like an artefabrian, but less crafting and more medicine focused? that could be fun!

personally i think, like most things, hemalurgy isn’t inherently evil. it’s all about how you use it.
maybe it’s okay to use it on someone who’s dying anyways, maybe it’s okay to use it with consent, maybe you could bend cannon a little and make it not inherently lethal if you know what you’re doing

because like, metalborn are less “powerful” overall than surgebinders (from what i understand), so maybe getting extra talents would be less unbalanced than it might be on roshar? especially because of how hemalurgy is not widely understood, it would make sense to let it break things a tiny bit
