The Hemlock Wooly Adelgids is a small insect native to East Asia, likely arriving on imported hemlocks from Japan. It is decimating our native hemlock species, and negatively impacting forest ecology. #hemlockwoolyadelgid #adelgestsugae #invasivespecies #ecology #unintendedconsequences
