Jayvik fancomic. Title: separation anxiety. Panel 1: after an emergency procedure, viktor is pushed on a wheelchair by a vintage nurse. They reach a waiting room. Panel 2: jayce rises suddenly from his seat, stiff as a board. He’s holding something, and viktor gasps. I- jayce, is that for me? Panel 3: a tomato-red jayce is revealed to be holding a large bouquet of pink flowers. I didn’t know what to get you, and the doc said… no sweets until tuesday! So i got you the inoffensive option. To his side, viktor snorts a huge incredulous laugh. He’s delighted. Jayce bristles further and says, you can’t be upset! Next panel, he bows his head shyly. I… I am really, really glad you’re alright, viktor. He offers the flowers to his partner, continuing. To your health, I hope you’re my partner for many more years. Viktor smiles as he reaches over. He touches jayce’s wrist with both hands on his way to pick up the flowers and allows himself to linger. Jayce looks on the verge of tears. The colors of the art simplify, touchy feely pastel pink. Viktor says thank you, jayce. This is, ah, a very considerate gesture. Like you. I’m not planning to go anywhere else, anytime soon, alright? Jayce breaks and begins sniffing. He hides his flooding eyes behind his palm. Viktor slips a thumb beneath his gem bracelet and tugs, keeping them together. Page 2. A row of 3 panels. Viktor holds the ball of pink flowers to his chest and averts his gaze. A quiet beat, then he says… may you wheel me to my room now? Er, people are staring. Panel 2, chibi jayce flaps his crying face on his elbow like a washing machine to dry out the tears. Panel 3; cartoonishly disheveled and with his face all puffy, he throws a thumbs up at viktor, making himself sparkle. Yes! Jayce says, on it, partner! Page 3: a single, silent panel, of a blushing viktor bowing his head into his flowers, and taking a flustered sniff. He’s pink, just like them.

scribbled out the first conversation stillwater jayce has with the volunteer doctor (mostly one sided)

#jayvik #hexposts
doctor viktor holds jayce's notes by his chest, looking apprehensive. he says- 5 years ago, the council ordered the destruction of your research. but i stole this journal for myself. Even though i was aware of... the risk.. i found it a worthy cause. your dream. jayce tsks at his words and turns his face away, his mop of messy hair obstructing his eyes. embarrassed, viktor's voice wavers. he neglected practicing this speech despite how much time he had to prepare. he keeps speaking: the study of magic to help others. a power... accessible to all, regardless of, of, your status, or ability... and a demonstration of how a lifetime of research can be erased in the blink of an eye. i found this not only cruel, but wasteful. It disgusted me. Panel 3, viktor's words float above a brightly burning pyre composed of jayce's prototypes, study books & experiments. viktor's grip on the journal tightens. his emotions towards it are tender. he says; ever since that day, i decided to change. i understood one must be prepared to fight for that which they believe in. by whatever means at their disposal. I kept it safe in the hopes i could return it to you somed-- suddenly, viktor is interrupted by jayce's voice. No thank you. viktor's composure shatters. eh? he asks, confused. I said, no thank you, i'm good, jayce repeats. he's an unmoving figure in the distance. he leans forward, and the hair moves out of the way of his left eye, exposing a very tired face. Jayce's hoarse voice. My mother is coming to visit me this week. that's what matters to me. I would hate to see her wasting her time getting through inspection just to find out I'm being disciplined. i've changed. I dont want any trouble. you can tell them that. tell them who? v cuts in. Your superiors, jayce replies looking away. I'm good with faces. you're heimerdinger's paperboy. even i remember that. paperboy?! v gasps. a mental knife stabs him in the head. no you've got it wrong, i mean, that was a long time ago! not anymor… page 2 of the comic. viktor considers he might have been wrong that night. He sits on the doctor's chair, slouching, head tipped backwards. thats it? viktor thinks. no tearful reunion. he hardly even blinked. nothing i said matters. jayce is sleeping on the other side of the medical curtain, not aware of this. panel 2. viktor deep in thought. he thinks i work for heimer? hm. fuck. maybe he's right to be wary of me. do i simply give up? panel 3; a miniature jayce sporting angel wings and a halo jumps out of viktor's head, dissipating his monologue. NO WAY! he scolds. panel 4. acting like viktor's conscience, shoulder angel jayce points a big finger at the viewer, fired up. DID I GIVE UP THE FIRST TIME MY IDEAS WERE REJECTED? NO! OR THE SECOND? NO! OR THE 15TH... NO!!!! I WORKED HARDER I POLISHED MY ARGUMENTS! THEY HAD TO LOCK ME IN A CELL TO GET RID OF ME!! panel 5. shoulder angel jayce becomes a little mote of light. A MAN'S DREAMS ONLY DIE WHEN HIS SPIRIT IS CRUSHED! he insists. shortly after that, viktor breaches his head into the curtain, peeking into the patient area. jayce is covered up on the bed and faces away from him. I have some, ah, samples. of corrections i did. viktor mutters. Your theory was solid. but your math was inexact. the silence stretches out, and viktor keeps talking. you don't need to utter a word. I'll show you anyway. he tells jayce, trying to be reassuring. end page.

stillwater jayce in the form of a mangy, thin, furry cat with an overgrown mane sniffs suspiciously at a kitty treat in a tube viktor is offering to him. then he accepts it, and as he begins eating he begins purring and leans into viktor's touch. the background blooms in pale pink and yellow sparkles. viktor pets him. jayce is happy.

Stillwater jayce sketch page. text reads. lanky, tall, like his s1 act 1 body. keeps to himself and doesn't talk much. other inmates leave him alone because he pulls his weight during work. in this world, heimerdinger assumes a more humane way to treat prisioners means giving them the chance to redeem themselves through honorable service. it's actually pretty shitty but counts towards reducing your sentence. Jayce would be released in his 50's. on the left there is a sketch of a thin jayce hunched over, wearing a long sleeved striped shirt and a plaque with his number. jayce's hair is overgrown past his shoulders and badly cared for, he looks like a wild bush of leaves. his fringe covers his eyes completely, and a beard takes up the remainder of his face. next to his arm, text reads: doesn't wear the bracelet anymore. gave it to his mother. she was supposed to throw it out but keeps it on herself. to the right, there is a minicomic of this imposing jayce waving his hand to another prisoner. he looks like the ghost girl from the ring movie. his creepy voice says: i'm done cleaning aisle c-13. you go tomorrow. the other person shakes in fear. caption reads: they find him somehow scarier when he talks. below it, there is a painted headshot profile of this jayce in full color. his hair is placed behind his ear and his eyes seem to be dissociating. his nose was broken and reset once, so now the bridge has a wavy shape. caption. I would find it interesting if this jayce looked more like the mage than any other self. they are both self flagellating. grooming and beauty habits are a big part of his presentation. when jayce enters ego death, he lets go of that. comic on the left bottom corner of the page. every once in a while, AU viktor appears and tries to speak with Jayce. Panel 1, viktors figure cloaked in a hoodie and jacket appears from the darkness around jayce's stillwater cell. pssssst he whispers. come here. remember the rune circle i showed you last time? i think i got it to work. viktor grabs the metal bars of his enclosure. jayce is a lump of blankets in his futon, pretending to be asleep. Panel 2, a close up of a terrified chibi jayce, sweating. holding the blankets around his head. he is deathly afraid viktor is here to catch him breaking the law, and refuses to answer to his cajoling. from the left, viktor's intrusive speech bursts in. jayce. i know you can hear me. caption on the bottom reads: in this AU, viktor switched his focus to medicinal research, so he is a volunteer doctor at the prison some nights.

Page 17, panels 1, 2, 3. The impact of the explosion ricochets; pieces of stray wood and metal splinter in the air. Lucian braces himself, trying to cover his face with his arm. jayce cowers with his hands above his head and his knees pushed up, trying to make a ball with his body. Viktor’s body stiffens. A feeling like a lightning bolt zaps through his spine and breaks his concentration. Full body lock down. It’s as if somewhere, elsewhere, a little cog bounces on the floor. Panel 4; the aftermath of the destruction. The prison bars that haven’t been ripped from the cell are twisted beyond usefulness. White smoke fills the little pirate ship corridor, all that dust with nowhere to go. A humongous black hole has been punched into the opposite wall, breaking the structure of the ship and going into the next room over. From a corner, jayce peeks between his fingers, eyes comically large. Viktor braces himself on a wall, his back to the audience. He’s trembling. Lucian hurries up to the middle of the scene with his hands up, a sign of peace. Obviously alarmed, he declares; I come in peace! The room creaks some more, pieces falling from above. Panels 5, 6: darkness. Then, a light flickers from the depths. Panel 7: lucian’s hand uses a long flame stick to burn the tip of a candle. Forgive those bad manners of mine, he says. Panel 8; the candle burns alive. Lucian’s voice, explaining; I had to wait until she left. End of page. Page 18. Panel 1. Viktor and Jayce sit on a fancy sofa right in front of a set of large blue windows. They are in the captain’s private room. Viktor has his arms crossed, a stern angry expression on his face. She, he spits, following lucian’s speech. You mean the hag. Jayce, who sits by his side, laughs nervously at this choice of words, a hand on his partner’s shoulder, playing peacekeeper. On the foreground, lucian sighs deeply, bowing his head and reaching out with a hand to hold his pirate hat. After a pause, he says: her name is nami, yes. She’s difficult. Panel 2; I can be difficult myself, when the weather calls for it. With his ghostly right hand, lucian makes his hat disappear into seamist. Panel 3; the captain sits on a high backed chair, crossing his legs. A firepit roars to life behind him. He says - so, on to second introductions. My name is lucian, and i am looking for my wife. We may have gotten off on the wrong boot, but… I would greatly appreciate your help. Panel 4. Lucian’s soft words hang in the air. Viktor looks like he wants to be hearing anything else. Visible frustration courses past his shoulders, mouth scrunched up in distaste. Jayce maintains a hand on his side, looking a bit more exhausted himself. End of page.

Page 14, panel 1, 2, 3. Narration: power surges from your gut. It's in your lungs. Oscillating like the waves in the ocean. It can choke, flood, drown. Panel 1, viktor’s blackened torso whirls with the unique signature of the hexcore anomaly, energy bolts gathering around his body. Panel 2, the arcane herald's dark face, seen from below. His eyes shine brightly. Panel 3, Viktor's hand lifts in the air, shaping the raw motion of the anomaly. His hand smears into fractals. panels 4 through 8: a flashback, of jayce giving a presentation in the academy. He is framed in front of a sky blue board, and says; most magic users live by instinct. the workings of their powers are like a black box. personalized, unseen, extremely random. so, the anthesis of science. hextech works differently. jayce winks. somewhere in the distance, a younger viktor watches his speech with a proud smile. Jayce continues: with our rune pattern keys, we bypass that cryptic connection mages have, allowing anyone to access the arcane with a proven, highly specific formula. Jayce holds a long stick to gesture at the many boards pushed together on the wall. some of them mounted on top of others to form the larger picture of his years studying magic. panels 9 through 11; the style shifts. back into the childish nightmare of viktor’s younger years. Narration, white on black. Ever since I was a little boy, all I've ever wanted was- a large puddle of blood covers the next panel. The thought is discarded. In the next panel, a child viktor braces himself against a large laboratory implement, holding a hammer in hand. he's breathing hard, blood splattered on his clothing, dripping from the blunt end of his weapon. his face is scribbled out, but tears still fall. end page. Page 15. Panels 1, 2, 3. Return to the academy flashback. Viktor appears next to Jayce, taking his turn on their project. He says; It's a request, spoken in the arcane's language. CONTROL IT, the severe narration demands, like a black sticker covering up half his figure. next panel, viktor says: take me to this precise location, or, reduce the weight of this particular object. you know what will happen, and you will see it done. in one panel viktor’s words are framed above the map of runeterra. in the next, jayce watches him deliver his monologue with a lovestruck smile on his face. they are in a large classroom, in the presence of other faculty. panel 4, a flash of the pirate ship. lucian opens the door to the prisoner hold, making his way down the stairs. Panel 5, classroom flashback. viktor stands between the sky blue divide of two blackboards, hand reaching out to touch the equations. he is braced on his cane. Mageborn have limitations. they excel at their native element, but cannot stray from it. just as a fish takes to water, but perishes in the sky… panel 6, viktor continues speaking but the camera shifts to this postcanon self, hair wild, hands raised, coat soaring against gravity. He is manipulating enough magical power to create a wall around him. Viktor’s voice: This may be because they use the arcane as brute fuel, breathing it like oxygen, while we barter with the hidden source underneath. panel 7, a small, lone shot of an imperfect hexgem. Panel 8: Viktor's childhood in scribbles. his voice. take this crystal. If it pleases you, give me something that I need. child viktor sits by his dying mother's bedside, burying his face in her unresponsive arms. Her face is covered by a shroud. she is already gone. CONTROL IT, the severe narration demands. Panel 9, the same scene, from further back. the doctor watches from a distance. Viktor clings to his mother’s embrace, the last light in a darkening room. the white puppet strings he sees in other bodies vanish a… Page 16, panel 1. viktor’s voice. Ever since I was a little boy, all I've ever wanted was- the voice cuts off. in the darkness of this panel, the figure of child viktor stands in the foreground, hammer in hand. He looks at Rio in the distance, her eyes vacant. her large lizard body is pockmarked by invasive cables. The only way to free her is through destruction. panel 2, the scene shifts abruptly. rainbow confetti bursts from the corners, a spotlight in pink and hue framing jayce and viktor’s bodies. they hold a first place throphy between them, laughing as they press their foreheads together. a second desire. Panel 3, they stand chest to chest, leaning on one another as festivities ensue. A first place ribbon is affixed to Viktor's academy uniform. Jayce’s hand rests proudly just above his ribs. prized. a touch too intimate to be friendly. panel 4; the color drains, and black blood spurts from behind Viktor's smile, cutting off this thought. His voice concludes: but that’s not for people like me. Control it, the narration demands, papering the same message across his body, his face, covering Jayce’s presence and all the spaces it can reach. control it. control it. panel 5; viktor’s feet, planted in the ground at present, as lightning spirals of energy orbit his bones. His disabled leg is an anchor. panel 6, 7: his palms come together, one on each side. he makes a triangular shape with his fingers, giving direction to the light. his face is hidden beneath the black panel borders. no eyes. panel 8; one of his porcelain husks, disappearing into fractals. deep bright blue flashes across the panels, anomaly white infects everything. the black linework corrupts into green, red, yellow. narration. all you've ever wanted, is something that can never. ever. be stolen from your grasp. panel 9, the final answer. ONE MILLION HAPPY ENDINGS:

Chapter 2, part 5. The last two updates will be added at the end of this thread later to have it all in one place! :) I'll begin production on chapter 3 next week ⭐

#1MHE #jayvik #hexposts
Page 10, panel 1: Viktor's naked body plunges into a deep well of water. He falls from above like a comet, the weight of his being sinking like a stone. He is a minuscule figure in a vast sea of darkness. Panel 2: in the far off distance, a cross of light emerges from the depths. In the foreground, viktor remains unconscious and sinking, water bubbles escaping from his nostrils and his open mouth. Panel 3: a wispy light body with weightless limbs jumps from the cross of light, skipping mid air. It stops to look at viktor’s body in stasis, a growing number of bubbles storming out of his throat, and exclaims; WOW! That's metal. Up close, this viktor’s body is slightly different. His hair is noticeably shorter like his season 1 self. Panel 4: suddenly, the wispy creature screams. HEY! ARE YOU THE HERALD? I AM LOOKING FOR THE HERALD. The loud voice startles viktor out of his stupor, and his eyes widen in shock. He tries to speak and spits out a tornado of bubbles. Now that viktor is awakening, this dream begins to dissolve, and the wispy creature loses its humanoid shape. They morph into a beam of light that disappears inside the cross in the horizon. End page. Page 11. Panel 1: A ghost pirate ship with torn sails weaves its way down to the bottom of the sea. A mermaid with octopus tails is carved on the head of the vessel, the whole ensemble tainted in spectral green. Panel 2: Inside it, hidden in a dark room, is jayce talis. He sits on the corner with his arms protecting Viktor’s fallen body, which rests softly on his chest. Viktor’s head is covered by a large glob of water, trapping him in a state of continued drowning. Panel 2: Viktor inhales deeply. HAAAAH. The surface of the water breaks and quickly slips inside his nose and mouth, swallowed by the urgency of his scream. Panel 3: Viktor sits up with a jump and immediately hunches over, vomiting all the water trying to squirm inside his chest. Jayce is not far behind, eyes wide with worry. Viktor! he mutters, reaching for his partner. Panel 4: Jayce puts a hand around Viktor’s torso and hugs him deeply, leaning his forehead on the back of the other's shoulder. Viktor looks terribly disoriented. drool runs down his chin and his body is swaying. He tries to clear his throat, and asks, with a hoarse voice: jay…ce? Jayce sniffles in response. Oh thank the gods- i thought- I was so worried, viktor, you were cold. Jayce’s grip on Viktor's robes is tight. Panel 5: the camera pulls back, showing their lumped bodies behind bars. Where… are we? Viktor asks. Panel 6: Jayce clings to his partner, smiling bitterly. In a cell, he replies. He looks on the verge of tears. end page. Page 12, panel 1: Viktor looks despondent. He stares at the ceiling without really seeing where he is. His hair is wet. His eyes are blank. He mouths: …I see. So it’s not a bad dream after all. The black narration appears next to it, intrusive thought: as if you would be so lucky. Panel 2, Viktor forces his body to stand up, wobbling his way out of jayce’s careful grasp. The movement is ungraceful. His long hair flips over his eyes, he uses his open arms to stabilize the uneasy stance with great effort. No matter, he says, I’ll take care of it. In just a second… panel 3: jayce looks scared. Wait, Viktor, you just woke up, i really don’t think that’s safe. He argues, but his words fall flat against Viktor’s determination. Panel 4: Viktor stands, his arms outstretched, fingers poised right ahead like the prelude to a summoning. His face is hidden. Power gathers in pure black ink behind his body, circling his head, and his searching fingertips. His speechbubble is black with white letters. He says; they surprised me the first time. I won’t let it happen again. Panel 5; a glimpse of the herald’s vision. His spectral hands reach in the dark for two strings of pure white light, and he pinches the threads between his fingers. The number of vital signs on this ship… is exactly two. One is jayce. The other must be the captain. End page. Page 13, panel 1. Viktor’s words. The fool sails without a crew. Jayce struggles to accept this information, saying; are you sure? But that’s… while you were passed out, the crew had to drag me here. I saw their faces. Panel 2- jayce is restrained by two large fishmen dragging him by his arms and the hood of his outfit. They are mossy spectral green. Panel 3; ghosts, viktor spits. Some other bastards they ambushed at sea, i’d wager. He grits his teeth. Panel 4- The good news is they’ll be easy to get rid of, viktor says. No weight to burden my conscience. The art is framed from the ground level, highlighting the back of Viktor’s calves. From a small distance, Jayce’s stare is fixed upon the wobbling movement of one of his legs. It’s too quiet to disrupt Viktor’s trance, but jayce points out; viktor, your leg is shaking. Panel 5. The power gathered in viktor’s core spreads as he claws his arms around him. It shifts from pure black to electric, holographic color, in the shape of the hexcore’s aberrations. Narration: breathe. It’s seasalt. It’s worn out. It’s waterlogged. I’ll make them regret this, Viktor promises. His body is a high contrast of white and black, as if the energy is consuming him from inside out. Narration. Breathe. It’s about distance. It’s about precision. In the final bubble, viktor says: you’ll see. End page.

ONE MILLION HAPPY ENDINGS:

Chapter 1, part 3 of 3.

#1MHE #jayvik #hexposts
Page 13. Panel 1. Viktor thinks: beings of flesh and blood can die so easily. It’s terrifying. The panel depicts him hugging Jayce tightly, stuffing his arms inside the jacket, his leg between jayce’s, burying his head on his partner’s chest. For his part, jayce seems so deeply asleep he does not stir at the contact. Panel 2, an image of a piltovan toy knight with his head ripped from his shoulders. Its body scatters on a table uncomfortably, lying on a puddle of oil that looks like blood. Those are viktor’s thoughts plaguing him. What if. What if? Panel 3, pure black fading into gray. Narration. Exhausted, Viktor drifts away with a promise. Panel 4, the last one, is framed by darkness and snow blowing in chunks from outside the page. Baby jayce, trapped in the snowstorm, is seen screaming help from afar. Viktor’s promise is as follows: I won’t let you come to harm. End page. Page 14. This page is made up of 6 symmetrical panels, no words. Starting from the top, they all depict viktor from the back, his face cut off frame. First is the herald of the arcane, floating high among the stars and surveying all the gentle soul flames of the people he has raptured. His cape billows out of frame, regal. Incomprehensibly powerful magic. Panel 2, viktor in the abandoned commune, as he was before it died yet watching the empty hollow tents left like husks after his death. A paradox. Panel 3, Viktor in the hextech lab he once shared with jayce, after he steps out of the cocoon. His hair still wet, the blanket slipping from his shoulders. He is framed by the false light of the window they kept in their laboratory. Newly transformed. Panel 4; viktor from the end of season 1, after his terminal diagnosis. His posture is pained, skewed south. His head is bowed, finally inside the frame. Covered in shadow. He is at the very edge of the water tower, at the center of the hole where he almost killed himself. Panel 5, child viktor in the creek where he played with his boat, at the opening of Singed’s cavern/hidden laboratory. He turns to face the viewer, and his face is a blotch of pure black ink. It almost looks like a fountain of blood in motion. Panel 6, a lonely white figure at the bottom of a black page, child viktor, faceless, staring straight ahead. An empty hole for a face. End page. Page 15; only one panel, in the corner. The rest of the page is black and gray and punctured textures. I won’t let you come to harm. It is written, rewritten, scrawled and rasped 50 times in this single page, litany against failure. I won’t let you come to harm. I won’t. The single panel is a close up of child viktor, burrowing carved ink black hole face seeming almost cruel as he tilts his neck to ask: Won’t you? Big words, for a boy without a mouth. End page.
