When I was in prison, I was a lot of things: cook, Inmate Counsel (lawyer), certified tutor. I helped hundreds of middle-aged guys earn their GED/HiSET diplomas. One thing I always did, and will continue to do until I die, is teach the TRUE racist history of this country. Don’t tell me it isn’t.

Some good news finally. Kid got his HiSET diploma and I’m no longer considered stage 1 kidney disease. 🥰

HiSet does proctored testing but varies by state & Maine is not. was never able to attain transportation regularly to pass testing

My mom administers high school equivalency tests but never calls them that, always GED or HiSet, and today she abbreviated it HSE in an email and I was so confused — what is HSE, why would she have an appointment for it — that I googled and it can stand for Herpes Simplex Encephalitis.
