Guardian of the Moss
Small wings, ancient patience, and a kingdom of quiet stone.

A small dragon statue sits nestled among moss-covered stone blocks in a lush garden setting. The creature is positioned slightly left of center, perched on a square stone step softened by layers of green moss and scattered brown leaves. Its body is rounded and compact, with short legs extended forward and tiny clawed feet resting on the damp stone surface. The dragon’s surface is textured and weathered, painted in earthy tones of muted green and terracotta, with patches of age and patina giving it a timeworn appearance. Its head is slightly oversized in proportion to its body, featuring wide, glossy black eyes that reflect ambient light. Small horn-like ridges rise from its brow, and a subtle, closed-mouth smile curves gently across its face. One small wing extends outward from its back, thin and bat-like, with delicate ridges visible along the membrane. Behind the statue, the garden recedes into soft focus. Deep green foliage, broad leaves, and vertical tree trunks create a layered, natural backdrop. To the right, a larger stone pillar covered in moss rises out of frame, framing the dragon and adding vertical contrast. The lighting is natural and diffused, filtering through the canopy above, casting gentle highlights across the moss and stone while leaving the background in a creamy blur. The composition conveys a sense of quiet enchantment, as if this small guardian has watched over the garden for decades, blending into the textures of stone, leaf, and shadow.
