As GDP figures show the government failing on its own metrics, we took our message directly to the Treasury.
Growth means nothing if our lives don't improve, if our highstreets stay shuttered and if the climate crisis spirals out of control.

I think we need to transform the production, delivery, sale and use of our entire food eco systems. We need to favour and support in-country growth/production wherever possible and we need to bring that produce back to our highstreets. We are held in a vice like grip by big retail without this.

It was great to visit Fawn Coffee in #Clevedon recently where I met with owners Tom & Ashley to discuss what small businesses need to keep doing their incredible job on our highstreets 🏪
