The beautiful thing about layering is that very cheap layers work almost as well as very expensive ones (not *quite* as well, mind you, but close enough for most people.) Was a time when the $40 H&M down jacket was a pretty popular option for hikers.

The warm glow of the light of the setting sun shining on Delicate Arch in Arches National Park. Well worth the 500 ft climb and 3 mile round trip hike. Hikers to the left help with the scale of the arch.
