I pulled the trigger and am all booked for Hippfest. I haven't been to a silent film festival in ages, so doubly excited about it and, of course, my inevitable detour to see Nessie, who is real.

I think it can be appreciated in other formats but if you get a chance, run do not walk, get a ticket.

KIDNAPPED (1917) made its big screen return for the first time in over a century at Hippfest and the score by @silentsweeney.bsky.social was absolutely perfect! Wonderful time was had by all.

THE CAT AND THE CANARY is the better film but THE BAT has its Batman connection and it's grand fun with the right music. Went down extremely well with the newbies and pros alike at Hippfest.
