I can, B had an assassination attempt against him, and later was isolated to one single area that he was never allowed to leave. Compared to that, Naruto had much better treatment due to Hiruzen.

It is meritocratic. No one was chosen by nepotism or whatever else. Lee got the #1 taijutsu expert in Konoha as his teacher when he showed his determination, and they are not related whatsoever. Hiruzen was not related to the Hokage, et cetera.

It worked to protect him amongst his peers, and he supported Naruto in other ways, giving him basically the best treatment of any host in any village who were forcibly isolated and weaponised. He is also probably the one who subsidised his expenses, including his tuition.

Hiruzen already specified that basically every adult hated him. Iruka was a child at the time. Kurenai was a teenager.

Minato never asked him that, since he died before Hiruzen picked up Naruto. That aside, Hiruzen changed the very law of the village to try to live up to Minato's ideal, he simply could not control the behaviour of the villagers despite that. He tried his best. Naruto paid that forward with Kawaki.
