Hitem3d did a fairly good job of modelling the BE-4 rocket engine from one photo. If I rebuild the wobbly engine nozzle, it will make a fine generic engine.

I'm still getting my head around what works in the Hitem3d photo-to-model system, but getting better results.
It's easily confused by surface patterns, but simple surfaces often work well.
Very high polygon counts though, and enough rough areas to make them not much use in the foreground.

I got the background by feeding one of H R Giger's "New York" (low res) pictures into the Hitem3d model generator. In this case the irregularities make it look more organic.

I decided to see what Hitem3d AI modeller would make of a nice clear set of photos of the Krechet lunar space suit.

At first sight it's not bad, but look closely and problems are clear.

I'm experimenting with 3d models generated online with Hitem3d.
I'm not that impressed with objects, but if you feed in a good portrait photo, the results are not bad.
Here's an example of astronaut John Young.
It's clearly recognisable, though unsurprisingly areas at the side and back are rough.

Text is mangled up horribly.
Straight sharp edges get wobbles and bumps
Regular repeated elements get randomised.
Not usable, except maybe in the background. But who wants a million polygon background element?

Jako tohle spojení AI pro generování postaviček na 3d tisk se mi líbí. V Gemini Nano Banana si vygeneruju obrázky z pohledu přední/zadní/levý/pravý pohled (je dobré, že drží stejný design, když se dávají prompty na úpravu). Pak obrázky nahrát do hitem3d, který umí právě z více obrázků vytvořit

I've had wildly mixed results with rocket engines in Hitem3d, and I'm never sure what will work well, but the best are surprisingly good.
