Opening today at the Hollytrees Museum, Colchester, is an exhibition centred around "Juliasaurus": an Allosaurus-like theropod #dinosaur from the Morrison Formation. I was hired to produce a #paleoart reconstruction to accompany the skeleton. Tickets available now! @colmuseums.bsky.social

Brontosaurus, their necks corrugated with vertebral bulges (for those in the know, because BRONTOSMASH! science), look on.

Yesterday was Takeover Day at Hollytrees Museum. In the chaos of 30 kids running around trying out different museum roles and working on their Arts Award, a moment of calm came by looking through the window. Hollytrees always provides great photo opportunities.

Juliasaurus - a 6.2 metre long therapod, this specimen is nearly 75% real fossil bone. Lived during the Jurassic Period, around 150 million years ago. On display currently at the Hollytrees Museum in Colchester.
