Just tried opening an account no twitter to promote Holmes Fest - I previously had a lot of good connections for the show. I managed to be on there about 10 minutes before deactivating the account... the whole timeline is full of rage. So, anyway, HolmesFest is coming...

I'm not going to panic. Just because my Holmesfest fic file on my USB drive is corrupted doesn't mean the back up copy on Dropbox will be.

My almost finished Holmesfest fic, four metas, two chapters of As Nature Intended & my WWI novel scrivener file are gone. Completely dead. 😭

Update on dead files - earlier versions retrieved thanks to Dropbox. Which fixes nearly everything bar Holmesfest, of which only 1k remains.

Go check out the gorgeous case fic that was written for me in this round of Holmesfest - The Major & the Violinist: <a href="http://acd-holmesfest.livejournal.com/59952.html?view=1143344#t1143344" class="hover:underline text-blue-600 dark:text-sky-400 no-card-link" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-link="bsky">http://acd-holmesfest.livejournal.com/59952.html?view=1143344#t1143344

Expect lots of Victorian Hi Jinks and performances and lots of people in period costumes.
It's splendid fun.

1932 "The Mummy" directed by Karl Freund and starring Boris Karloff, is released in the US, the first Mummy horror film
I've been a bit #mummy obsessed lately, since making #mummies for @holmesfest .
Here are my #egyptianmummy creations

So I made these #cottingleyfairies for #HolmesFest but I think the butterfly 🦋 wings on them looked a bit naff so I've changed the wings to be more skeletal.
What does everyone think? Does it look better
