MIL is off to hospital in Dunedin. Last night got a call from her GP to say they couldn't reach her. She wasn't answering OUR calls/texts. Sent a friend around for a welfare check. Not good. Access homehelp called an ambulance. She's frail and stubborn but we're grateful for everyone's help

Ty, yesterday's mtg with potential homehelp was positive. Mtg with a care agency this morning. Then got finances to look at to see what I can afford. Tomoro GP appt then 110 mile round trip to vet for check up. Already v tired from a busy but positive week just gone. It's going to be a challenge!

My pharmacist is hiding behind that and going “well, you can’t experience any difficulty in coming to get your medication”
My homehelp is going to tell them I can’t even answer my front door without getting worn out. Which is true.

My mattress has finally arrived
I have left it in the front room for my homehelp to deal with tomorrow (it's heavy, and I wish the bloke had carried it in for me, but I understand they have time limits for deliveries)

So having finally met with social prescriber (referred 2mths ago) & explained about phone probs & that I need to know how to find a self employed homehelp / personal assistant / organiser, the social prescriber has emailed me a list of phone numbers for care agencies which I'd already found online 🙄
