Finished the sleeveless sweater I have been working on. Ended up doing a raglan since I can do that without a pattern. Glad to have made something I will definitely wear from my homespun yarn. It turned made a really nice boucle fabric. 🙂🧶🧶🧶

Finished the sleeveless sweater I have been working on. Ended up doing a raglan since I can do that without a pattern. Glad to have made something I will definitely wear from my homespun yarn. It turned made a really nice boucle fabric. 🙂🧶🧶🧶

Going to use these three batches of homespun top to bottom, light to dark. The middle ball has mid-tones inside.
Using SC BLO to make a flat fabric more like knitting.

Decided to keep the ribs as a center design since I like making them. Also, decided to use hdc BLO moving forward.
I started spinning because Noro is my favorite yarn. I love the bumpy texture and uncommon color combos. I use baby alpaca & angora for softness.

Just a little sample of plying hand spun yarn. It takes a bit of practice, but it's soothing and at the end you have something truly one-of-a-kind. Bonus points for 0 child labor textiles.

I had to tweak the values to get my WIP's colors to show up anywhere near as vibrant as it is in reality, but aside from my cat chewing my project while I was asleep, I think it's turning out well.
