Disturbing: though only 5% of homeless New Yorkers are unsheltered, more than half of #HomelessDeaths were of people not living in shelters. This is one of many #HarmsOfUnshelteredHomelessness.

A new report by the #NYCDHS and #DOHMH notes a 18% drop in #HomelessDeaths in NYC in financial year 2025 vs. 2024. Deaths due to drug overdose dropped by 33%.
