The Defiant showcases stealth, sabotage and cinematic FPS combat in a rarely explored Chinese theatre of World War II.

The Defiant game brings China's War of Resistance to gamescom 2026, where Hoothanes' story-driven FPS is playable in the West for the first time. Set across four seasons and regions of the Second Sino-Japanese War, the title fills a 30-year gap in WWII gaming by putting players inside a conflict that cost 20 million lives but has been nearly absent from the genre.
