Drinking a Bell's Hopslam for the first time since my 20s probably? Anything with a 10% ABV probably should have been left in my 20s, but too many great trivia nights were spent having too many of these (one is definitely enough) while hanging with friends, so here's to those memories. Cheers!

I met Larry Bell at FoBAB, the first one at the UIC Forum, he offered me the recipe for Hopslam in exchange for one night with my wife. They say they stayed up watching the sunrise from his suite in Wrigleyville just talking. I don’t know if I believe them but I’ve never made a batch of Hopslam.
Larry Bell once sold me 18 bottles of consecutive years of Eccentric Ales at Eccentric Day. He told me he found them in storage and we agreed that if I wrote a check for 250 to a Kalamazoo women's charity he'd give them to me.
Here's some more fun lore but for the beer nerds. I got rip roaring drunk with Larry Bell and Adam Avery at a Philly Beer Week event in 2009 at McGillins and Larry fell into a pile of trash next to the dumpster in the alley and we had to help him up
